Michael Jackson. What he was to me. Thougts.
I can remember, how i used to dress up like him and imitate his dancing and singing when i was a kid. I remember, how often i watched Moonwalker. I love and always loved the uneblievable energy in his music. He is one of the reasons, why i am doing music today.

I don't know if i can think of a person, that combined genius and tragedy, up and down, love and self-hate in a more extreme way than he did. He was such a strong reflection of our modern society, with all its negative and positive influeces. - Wanting to be loved, wanting to love. Wanting to be successful and out there, but still close to oneself. Wanting to belong to this society and all its great aspects but still feeling so far away from it.

On the first look we might think, that MJ was just a freak, that we are not like that, that things like that could never happen to us. But i think that everyone of us carries a Michael Jackson on the inside. Everyone of us somehow has issues and problems, fights on the inner, that can make us act in way that is so far away from who we are, that can make us not getting along with our environment and being scared and alienated.

I think we can learn a lot from Michael Jackson. We can learn, that we need to accept ourselves for who we are, to be happy. We can learn, that we can only make it to get really along with our close ones and with society and really give love if we are satisfied with ourselves. And this starts nowhere but in our heads.

I think that Michael Jackson was so messed up on the inside, that he never had the chance to realize these things or make them come true. The different extremes inside him were too strong, his expectations and his pressure towars himself were too high.

I am not only touched and sad that we lost one of the greatest musicians of all times, i am as well touched and sad, when i think of the story of his life, how it developed, how it finally ended.

"REST IN PEACE" usually feels like this set phrase, that is just said, when someone died, but in this case it feels so right:

Michael Jackson - REST IN PEACE.

May your soul find the peace in eternity, that it never found on earth. May your soul finally be free of all the burden and the pain that were created on earth.

I dedicate these thoughts to Michael Jackson and his family. I dedicate them to my family and to my loved ones. And to everyone, who feels them.
